Test loading or logging in problems with Chromebooks

Test loading problems

Users may experience problems loading a test after Google releases an operating system upgrade. To check for this, when using a Chromebook, select the practice test first to ensure that the actual test will load. If it does not load, then either use a non-Chromebook device or wait for a Google update to fix the problem, which usually takes around three days.

Log in problems

If you are having a problem logging in with Chromebooks' older operating system you will need to update to the most recent version.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open your Google Chrome browser.
  2. On the top right hand side select the "Chrome menu" button.
  3. Select "Help" from the menu then select "About Chrome OS".
  4. Select the "Check for and apply updates" button.
  5. After the update is completed you will see this message:
  6. Select the "Finished" button.

Your Chromebook should now be updated to the latest version. You can check what the latest stable operating system is at Chrome releases.
